Each year, millions of people are forced to flee their homelands to escape persecution, war or severe human rights abuses. Often these people can never return home. The Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program helps thousands of refugees every year. As a sponsor, we provide financial and emotional support for the refugees for the duration of the sponsorship. This includes help for housing, clothing and food.
We may be thankful that God has provided us with this unique opportunity to serve Him through a ministry of mercy for Christian refugees. If you are interested in participating in an exciting and rewarding cross-cultural experience of mentoring a newcomer to Canada, we’d love to have you on our team!
