Host Families

And at mealtime Boaz said to her, “Come here and eat some bread and dip your morsel in the wine.” So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed to her roasted grain. And she ate until she was satisfied, and she had some left over. — Ruth 2:14 (ESV)

Each week our church has a host family. The host family is a service opportunity in which a household offers to take visitors to the church home for lunch. The goal is to make guests feel welcome and to try and build relationships with them. Host families are put on a list and so they will serve in this capacity a few times each year. The host family hands out liturgy sheets to people as they enter the sanctuary prior to the service so that people are made aware of whom the host family is for that particular Sunday. If you are interested in serving as part of the host family team, please contact our coordinator.
