Description:
Prison visitation is the core of M2/W2. Since 1966, M2/W2 as responded to Jesus’ call to visit the prisoner in a simple offer of support and friendship. Many people in prison have no one else on the outside who cares or visits them and so the volunteer may be the only friend that the prisoner has from the community. Presently we have about 200 inmates who are looking for a volunteer to visit with them. Volunteers are recruited from the Christian community primarily through church presentations, one-to-one contacts and referrals from other volunteers. You are invited to an M2/W2 presentation on Wednesday, February 4 in the Langley Canadian Reformed Church. The plan is to begin this meeting at 8:15 after the Cadets program.
